Memorable memories with Scrapbooking

Scrapbooking is a method for preserving a legacy of written history in the form of photographs, printed media, and memorabilia contained in decorated albums, or scrapbooks. The idea of keeping printed materials of personal interest probably dates to shortly after the invention of printing. Similarly for photographs. Historically, scrapbooking was a tradition similar to storytelling, but with a visual and tactile, rather than oral, focus. Everyone has someone in their family that never, ever seems to go anywhere without their beloved camera to catch a picture anytime they see fit because they want to remember the occasion. Pictures speak a thousand words and capture a moment forever. However, what do we do with all the pictures that we have and hold onto so dearly to? We forget them in a dark corner of the room, stuffed in a box that is probably accumulating dust.

Well, today is your lucky day because I have a magnificent suggestion for you and it is called scrapbooking. This is a good way to keep your souveniers the way that they were supposed to be in the first place, memorable!

When you start building a creative memory album, not only do you build a photo album, you keep your memories and protect them as well. You see there are so many ideas that pop in your head when your album is created that it cannot even be considered a photo album anymore. There is more than one style of scrapbooking. You will agree that when you mix things up like this, it makes things much more fascinating. When you think about it, you know how much fun it is to share old stories and doing a scrapbook will help you keep those memories alive and share them with others.

This is a great way to organize all those memories, dates, times and photos. Just putting a few stickers here and there or writing a story above or below the picture will make a huge difference. But surely you are not the only living artist in your family ...so ask around in your family and you may be surprised at who may have a good idea! You will have the satisfaction of having all your precious memories forever in a beauiful, handmade heirloom keepsake to pass down through the generations.

Doing an album is so easy once you start that you will wonder why you didn't think of this sooner. So start making your Creative Memory Scrapbook and you will always have unending memories to share with family and friends.
